The first sod

‘March 6th 2013 has been a special day for everyone involved with GGT as many of our community partners came and joined us on site to help us cut the first sod together with Westmorland Ltd and our builders Buckingham Group. This event marked the beginning of the work at Gloucester Services’

GGT Chief Executive Mark Gale said “This landmark moment is an important point at which to recognise the support Summerfield Charitable Trust, Tudor Trust , Gloucestershire Community Foundation and the Lankellychase charity have given to GGT. This project would not have come to fruition without their support.”

‘We could not have asked for better charitable partners and the same is true of our community partners too who turned out in force on site with their spades to help us break ground’ Mark added. GGT has established community partnerships with Play Gloucestershire, Fair Shares timebanks, GL Communities, the Nelson Trust, All Pulling Together Community Association in Stonehouse and the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. “We have already been working together for a long time and now we can move up a gear with the beginning of the project build” he added
