Our Communities - Bridging the gaps by working together
Future Creating Workshop Report 2020
In 2020, due to the pandemic, we had to find a new way to gather views from the communities we work with about day to day life, the challenges, and the utopian visions about what life could be like with no barrier to budgets or resources. As we couldn't meet or survey door to door as we have in previous years, using the technology of Padlet, we invited community representatives to take place in online workshops.
The pandemic had undoubtedly made many existing challenges even harder, so community asset resource mapping was also completed to create the foundation on which to build bridges for the future.

Our Communities 2020 Vision
Community Survey 2019
As for our previous two surveys, in 2019 we again employed and trained a group of local residents to survey local people on doorsteps as well as at community events, gathering the latest views on life in GGT target communities.
We were able to compare some of the key findings to the previous years, as well as highlight how residents views have shaped GGT investment and helped us to support additional community partners.
This year we also published an Analysis of the Multiple Indices of Deprivation alongside our report, which shows a worsening position for most of our target communities - something we must work together to change.

Come together and make life better
Community Survey 2018
In 2018 we again employed and trained a team of local residents to undertake the second annual survey of GGT's target communities, finding out all about life in those neighbourhoods.
The findings of the survey were really insightful, and as always, helped to guide GGT funding, based on what residents told us and where they felt investment was needed.
