Matson and Robinswood Residents Group

The Matson and Robinswood Residents Group, based at the Matson Gateway, has been running for over 20 years and is open to all local residents.

What they do

  • Support, encourage and enable local residents to live life to the fullest
  • Support local people to overcome barriers by providing help with form filling, job applications and free access to IT and phones for  job-hunting, home-seeking, help with benefits and other domestic issues
  • Ensuring that people do not go hungry
  • To give local residents wider experiences, such as going on trips

During the pandemic Dolly the Freezer of Love has been brought into the Gateway Hub, offering healthy cooked meals made by The Long Table in Stroud that are frozen for residents to enjoy and pay what they can.  Dolly the Freezer is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.  The Fare Share food scheme is also available at the Hub.

The Matson and Robinswood Residents Group also have a slot on an online radio station - Deep Bed Radio called Matson Mondays - every Monday afternoon, tune in!
The Group's Annual General Meeting is being held on 30 March 2021 - all local residents are welcome to join.

"What are our hopes for 2021?  To be able to meet with people, and do some of the things we have done in the past, such as trips to different places.

What are we looking forward to in 2021?  New creative ideas and ways of people using their gifts and transforming the community."
