You know you've made it when you get not one but TWO mentions on BBC TV in one day.

On Monday morning's BBC Breakfast Show, reporter Dan Walker cited Gloucester Services as his favourite service station, telling his fellow reporters "you need to get yourself to Gloucester Services".

In particular, he credited the cakes and the green roof as some of his favourite reasons to visit.

Later in the day, viewers of BBC's cult comedy 'This Country', shown on BBC iPlayer were also treated to a mention.

The show, filmed locally in Northleach, Gloucestershire, focuses on two young people growing up in a rural village in the Cotswolds.  In this week's episode, Kurtan is learning to drive, and he talks to his cousin Kerry (played by Daisy May Cooper) about being able to go ANYWHERE, like Gloucester Services.  You'd be very welcome anytime!
