We are working towards a world of welcoming communities, comprising of motivated and connected people living in neighbourhoods that are connected and caring.
We envisage neighbourhoods where everyone is valued, people can influence decisions that affect their lives and create lasting solutions to local challenges.
We know that every resident and community has strengths and resources that could be shared and we aim to help unlock these for everybody’s long term benefit.
- To enable and provide practical support in - and for - our target communities (which include Matson, Tuffley, White City, Podsmead and Stonehouse/GL10) in a manner that connects residents and neighbours and equips them to take action on social issues they have identified, and which serve to improve the greater common good;
- Work with employers and the GEM Project to maximise direct and indirect local employment opportunities for people furthest from the labour market who often have multiple and complex needs;
- Proactively help charity partners maximise leverage to support community regeneration and develop plans for future distribution;
- Communicate to target communities, stakeholders and the wider public, the charitable objectives of both Gloucestershire Gateway Trust and Gloucester Services, and their many achievements, developments, opportunities, lessons learned and stories of success in community building.
